بعد التعاقد مع الارسنال يقول الشماخ "انه حلم تحقق وانا جد مسرور بهدا الانتقال. لطالما كان هدفي الانتقال للبريميرلييغ والارسنال كان اختيار قلبي" "بدون تردد الارسنال هو المفضل، الفريق والتاريخ جعلاني احلم باالانتقال لهدا النادي اذ كنت من انصاره منذ الطفولة" "انا جد متحمس للعب في ملعب الامارات امام الجمهور، سمعت اشياء عديدة عن الملعب ولا استطيع الانتظار للعب هناك بفانيلا الارسنال" "ساقدم كلما بوسعي للنادي الذي لطالما شجعته، لدينا العديد من اللاعبين الممتازين وساساعد الفريق للفوز بالالقاب الموسم المقبل" After completing his move to the Gunners, Chamakh said: “This is a dream come true and a great joy to be joining Arsenal.
