[english]étoile, Actually this is a nice question , since most using of English idioms are in translating movies and lyrics , I think they are not in use in the formal academic wirting , we can find them as proverps , but as slang they are in the , I am sorry , the cheap ones ...like those which have dirty words ........nothing like that to be found in the formal writing .......this is my opinion ...you can check it up using google......[/english] |

Safwat, Thanks a bundle Actually I 've already done some googling .Once, in a foreign forum''WordReference'' someone told me that we should never use idioms in formal writing wheras I 've read that idioms are used in all forms and styles of English as in IELTS writing but with caution Thank you |
